Whether for business or leisure, our accomodation at Fern Glen has something to meet you or your family's needs. We have 5 self-catering units situated on a spacious one acre stand, boasting lovely gardens. This area was a bird sanctuary many years ago and so has an abundance of birdlife. The rich foliage of the trees creates a natural sound buffer which results in a peaceful and quiet environment where you can still hear the bird calls.
From Malibongwe Drive, the N1 highway is easily accessible and both the Olivedale Clinic and Sandton Clinic are 5 minutes away. We have the Ferndale Village Shopping centre 500m away plus 4 large Malls within a 10km radius. There are several churches and sports centres and golf courses nearby. The Dome as well as the Sandton Convention Centre are within easy reach.

- All units are equipped for self-catering
- ** The Suite and Cottage have the option of a Sleeper couch to add a person at R250 per night.
SEASONS – Winter (June, July and August)
- Additional R40 per night for a Gas heater during Winter
- Gas Heater - for longer stays R230 per 9KG Gas

The Apartment - Self Catering Cottage
is a 2-sleeper unit consisting of one large room and a bathroom with bath/shower. It has twin beds, a lounge/dining area and a kitchenette. The kitchenette has a small fridge, microwave and one hotplate.Other unit facilities and services:
- FREE WIFI (20Mbps)
- Covered Parking
- DSTV
- Access to Laundry facility on the premises R50 per load DIY
- Serviced Mondays to Fridays except on public holidays
- Towels and bedding provided (fresh towels 2x a week – bedding changed 1x a week)
- Kitchens have all necessary appliances, utensils and crockery
- Iron and Ironing board
- Hairdryer
- Safe
- Fans/heaters
- Small Patio
The Cottage - Self Catering
is a unit with two bedrooms, however only ONE bathroom with shower (water is gas heated), a lounge/dining area and a full kitchen. The main bedroom has a double bed and the large 2nd bedroom has 3 single beds. The kitchen has a family sized fridge/freezer, 2 plate Hob, microwave and an electric frying pan. There is no oven, but the electric frying pan can handle roasts and such.Other unit facilities and services:

- Access to Laundry facility on the premises R50 per load DIY
- Serviced Mondays to Fridays except on public holidays

The Suite - Self Catering Cottage
is a 4+1 sleeper unit with one bedroom, and spacious Lounge/Dining area. There is only ONE bathroom which has a bath with shower overhead (water is gas heated). The bedroom has twin beds with additional twin beds adjacent to the dining area. There is also a single bed behind the Lounge. It has a full kitchen with a family sized fridge/freezer, 4 plate hob, microwave and an electric frying pan.Other unit facilities and services:

- Serviced Mondays to Fridays except on public holidays

The Cabin - Self Catering Cottage
is a 2+2-sleeper unit with one bedroom, bathroom with shower (water is gas heated) and large Lounge/Dining area/Kitchenette. The bedroom has twin beds and the other room has two couches, which can become 2 single beds with proper mattresses. The kitchenette has a small fridge, 2 hot plates and a microwave.Other unit facilities and services:

A friend and I stayed several nights and really enjoyed it. The mini kitchen was just the right size to prepare some food for ourselves and had the dishes and utensils we needed. The beds were comfy the bathroom spacious and clean. The owners were welcoming and gave good tips on what to see in the area. If I ever make it back down to South Africa, I would certainly stay there again. |

Truly home from home. Very welcoming, comfortable, clean and very well equipped, everything you would want and expect from a guest house. The owners were friendly and informative, helping us to navigate our way around as well as helping us with some local attractions and restaurants.
